Nurture Box

My idea behind creating a 'Nurture box' is an aid for families to be able to help their children work their way through their grief and find ways of being able to discuss in gentle ways through play and art how they feel.

This page I will update as it is a work in progress.

I want to be able to offer this to families, and know myself, that I would have really benefitted from something like this in the early stages and beyond, after Alex had his accident.

I have a great deal of experience in how I have helped my children talk about daddy before, daddy now and the changes we face everyday. The ways I have used to help them come to terms with the now very different situation, and how I have tried to guide them and counsel them through it, I have put into tangible ideas to create a Nurture box.

As I say, this is in initial stages, but will be an enormous, invaluable help tool to help children in families who have faced tragedy, not just through Head injury, but grief through all kinds of circumstances.

Thank you for bearing with me.
